How long have you been a photographer? I started my photography business in 2009 doing family and newborn photography. I shot my first wedding in 2010 and haven't looked back!

Do you use film or digital? I use both. They are both amazing for different reasons and I love having both options to create the best images possible!

How does it work for receiving my film images? There is no difference on your end. You still receive all digital images - including the film ones - they are scanned and digitized by my amazing film lab!

How do you work on a wedding day? During the day I like to capture the events as they naturally unfold. I will style your details to make them look their best, I will be very hands on during family portraits and ask for a family shot list to make sure we include everyone you want and no one is missed. Wedding party and couples portraits are 'directed' more than 'posed' to get the most natural looking images. The rest of the day we are completely hands off to capture the events as they happen. Do you need to check out my wedding site in advance? Have you worked there before? I don't need to know what your ceremony or reception space looks like. If you would like my input for ceremony or head table set up/direction you can of course message me about that! I am always inspired by the environment and surroundings so it isn't a bad thing if I haven't photographed a wedding at your venue or in your city before!

Can I send you a list of images I want? The only list I require is a family shot list. I hope that you have hired me because you love my work and photography style. If there is a specific shot you would like that is out of the ordinary then please let me know ahead of time so we can capture it for you. If you have special details or meaningful items, please let me know so I can be sure to capture them.

How many images will I receive? Every wedding is different and because it is an uncontrolled event we don't guarantee a specific number of images but on average an 8 hour wedding will receive somewhere between 600-800 images. I do not limit the number of images you receive. You will get all of the images that turned out.

Are your images edited or retouched? All of my images are edited for exposure and colour balance. Most of the time the film images will require little to no editing. Every image you see on my website, Instagram or blog is exactly the way my couples would have received it. If you require retouching and want a blemish removed, I have no problem doing this for specific images you plan on printing. I will not edit in fake a background or put the sun in a photo where it didn't exist in the first place.

Do you require a deposit? A 50% retainer is required to officially secure your wedding date with the remainder due 2 weeks before the wedding.

When will I receive my images? An online viewing gallery is normally made available within 8 weeks following the wedding date.

What is the ideal time of day for our portraits? 2 hours before and up until 10 minutes after sunset is always the best time for photos, but with wedding day timelines this doesn't happen too often! I always try to schedule in 10 minutes during sunset where we can quickly make our way outside to capture you in the most beautiful light!
